Because the anti-Calvinist declares that his believing on Christ is a product of his own spirit, he is then forced to follow up such notion with the (additional) declaration that such believing does not itself constitute righteousness, else his position will be universally rejected by the Body of Christ.
And so he has come up with a clever idea:
“There is no personal merit in believing something if that something is the truth”.
In order for his idea to get across the line then, what is required is that it not be detected that that which is the truth, itself contains the requirement to believe on the truth.
That is, acceptance of the anti-Calvinist’s idea depends on its not being realised that although he is referring to the truth, he is in fact not referring to the whole truth.

DEFEATING THE ANTI-CALVINIST WITH THE TRUTH
The Truth
Jesus Christ = The Truth
The whole Truth
“We must believe on The Truth” = The Truth
Nothing but the Truth
Because our believing on The Truth, is itself componential to The Truth, then given that The Truth can be no greater than The Truth, it is necessarily also componential to The Truth and therefore componential to Him on whom we believe.
It is therefore not of ourselves, but of God alone.
Amen.
